The Vector Smart VZDC test kit has been tested with QIAamp Viral RNA Mini Extraction Kit (Qiagen), MagMax -96 Viral RNA Isolation Kit (Thermo Fisher Scientific), the sbeadex livestock kit (LGC), and CoWin Bio Viral DNA/RNA kit CW-E-001 or -002 (Jiangsu CoWin Biotech Co., Ltd), and run using the Co-Dx Box thermal cycler. Triton X-100 (Sigma-Aldrich) was used to inactivate viruses.

About the Vector Smart VZDC test
The Vector Smart VZDC test kit has shown no cross-reactivity with West Nile virus (WNV), St. Louis Encephalitis virus (SLEV), Yellow fever virus (YFV), Hepatitis C virus (HCV), Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV), Eastern Equine encephalitis virus (EEEV), Spondweni virus (SPOV), Western Equine encephalitis virus (WEEV), Jamestown Canyon virus (JCV), La Crosse encephalitis virus (LACV), and Nhumirim (NHUV) viruses through wet-test or in-silico analysis. These microorganisms can be found in mosquito Aedes and Culex guts.
